As I said, I think the parents' intentions are good. Certainly, they aren't doing anything harmful to their children.

However, parenting was competitive enough when my own was a child. Now, with facebook and blogs, I see the competitiveness reaching a whole new "Look at me! Look at what a wonderful Mommy/Daddy I am" level of stressfulness. Of course, if I had a pre-schooler in this day and age, I'd just cheat and post a bunch of photoshopped pictures and say, "See! I'm a good mommy! I did the Dinovember thing, too!" Then, I'd go pour myself a glass of wine and watch some realty TV.Zsushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10930882298248007069noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4088739078070354660.post-68472614076734807682013-11-22T10:58:44.618-05:002013-11-22T10:58:44.618-05:00Thanks rmc!! I think these parents are probably overdoing it, and perhaps going about it in a way that may be a bit more about them than it is about their kids, but who's to say? In this day and age, I'm happy to see parents who "get" that kids need to be encouraged to express themselves imaginatively.

And you know what else? Whether or not I agree 100% with your viewpoint, I TOTALLY BOW TO YOUR BLOG!! :D !! Keep 'em comin, cuz!!
