THE FUNNY PAPERS: The Week In Memes: April 1-7 Edition

The week began with a day for fools and ended with a whole lot of foolishness. This was also the holiest week of the Christian calendar as well as the beginning of the celebration of the Jewish Passover. Former President Donald Trump was arrested in New York. Then, Kid Rock shot up a twelve-pack of Budweiser for being too woke. The internet could not keep still!

April Fools Day arrived with all the levity of a cranky old nun. Storms, which were no joke, wreaked havoc across a large swath of the nation, while NYC prepared for the historic arraignment of a former president, Nevertheless, humor was the order of the day for social media.

Palm Sunday heralded the start of the Christian Holy Week, which includes the remembrance of the Last Supper and Good Friday. I’m afraid nothing is sacred to the memers. Look what they’ve done:

Mid-week saw the start of the Jewish celebration of Passover. I’ve heard there was wine!

Who could forget that Donald Trump was arraigned in court this week? Not the media, that’s for sure.

Finally, in response to Budweiser placing trans Tic Tok star, Dylan Mulvany, on a beer can, some celebrities with drastically waning star power decided to have a meltdown. The mockery was instantaneous.

Not to be outdone, country singer Travis Tritt declared he will no longer have Anheuser-Busch products (maker of Budweiser) from his tour rider.

Enjoy the weekend with whatever cold beverage you choose. Stay safe out there!
