I hope you all had a better week than Elon Musk. Between Twitter becoming less relevant by the hour and the explosion of the latest SpaceX rocket, the poor man must be sobbing into hankies sewn from thousand-dollars bills. Meanwhile, Eastern Orthodox Christians as well as Muslims had fat-inducing holidays this week, and Fox News owes Dominion so much money that Robert Murdoch can now only attract women in their late-60's.  The internet was quite amused by it all. Let’s listen in, shall we?

 Never a dull moment in these United States! In the course of seven days, we’ve had another shooting, the “Tennessee Three” reinstalled to their elected positions, and a young National Guardsman sharing classified documents to his online gaming group. Naturally, the internet was far more interested in this week’s episode of Succession and the Jonas Brothers Wafflehouse album. But, there was more to mock. Let’s get into it.

This was also the holiest week of the Christian calendar as well as the beginning of the celebration of the Jewish Passover. Former President Donald Trump was arrested in New York. Then, Kid Rock shot up a twelve-pack of Budweiser for being too woke. The internet could not keep still!

I wondered if I should put up a post this week. Sometimes, the news is just so sad that it feels wrong to laugh about anything at all. Yet, in the wake of the tragedy in Nashville and the horrific storms in Mississippi, the internet crowd managed to find a way to distract. BOOK 'EM, DIVA: FIVE FICTION FAVES OF 2022

Now that I am a government-sanctioned Diva of Leisure, (I've got a Medicare card as proof!) I have more time to pursue my favorite hobby - reading. I was that kid who hid in the bedroom closet when I was supposed to be sleeping so I could squeeze in another chapter of my library book. As a full-grown Diva who can pick her own bedtime, I read at least eight novels a month. So, like Reeces with its peanut butter cup, I'm combining my two favorite things, reading and blogging, by writing book recommendations of my faves.  There's no time to waste so, let's get started with my Top 5 Novels of 2022.
